Title: bacon wrapped tater tots
Post by: squirtthecat on September 04, 2009, 08:36:45 AM

Just ran across this recipe on Twiter...   Looks interesting!   Might actually try it this weekend, as I still have a pound of turkey bacon laying around.  I just need some tots.

I secured a bag of tots over lunch...   Will wrap a dozen or so and try out tonight.   Sitting above a slow cooking pork butt + brisket should lend some nice flavors as well!

I wonder what type of wood will complement Ore-Ida tater tots?

STC

Here is a thread where we had a discussion on these a while back. At that time I did a bunch of them. If I remember correctly I think I put an hour of smoke on them, then put them into the Big Easy to crisp them up. They turned out really good although I preferred them with some sauce on them to add a little heat.
