Title: Burned pucks

Here is a pic of my burned pucks about half way trough a 4 hour smoke. Are they supposed to be this way? They look half burned to(http://i579.photobucket.com/albums/ss236/northwoods_01/100_7117.jpg)me, should they hav more burn? Thanks all

Yep, they sure do look done to me too. I'm not sure if you're expecting them to turn to dust, but they typically don't.

These were hickory pucks.

I'm with CRG and Kevin.  Those are toast.

When a puck doesn't burn all the way through it still has a lot of tan on it. 

The cause be a faulty generator heater (no burn) or the heat plate needs to be cleaned (partially burned and still tan).

They look good to me.

Perhaps if you serve them with some au jus on the side.  ;D

All pucks look like that after being burned.  If it was half burned, or only the bottom was burned....that would indicate a problem. 

In this case, your fine.  It's working as designed.
