Title: Introducing myself - considering purchasing a Bradley- Usmoke2?
Post by: Usmoke2? on February 21, 2010, 03:34:52 PM
Hi everyone. I found this site about a month ago.
I've been cruising the forums and gathering information in order to help make my purchase decision a positive one.

In large part, due to the awesome support you folks give eachother, (and that is not blowing smoke up your nether regions - pardon the pun) cause you folks are the best advertising Bradley could have.
I will be making my purchase shortly of a Bradley 6 rack.
I do have some questions and would appreciate any advice.

1- Does anyone know where I can order bubba pucks, a pid and
non stick jerky screens, or their equivalents in the Toronto or
Barrie Ontario areas or in Canada?.. or should I just bite the
customs/shipping bullet and order from Auber or Yard and Pool?

2-Has anyone had any experience adding cold smoke to already
cooked store bought brisket, (cornedbeef, pastrami etc)
ie: how long a smoke and using what type of wood? Thanks

Usmoke2, can't help you with locating supplies in Canada since I am a Texas boy, but ...

Did want to say Welcome to the Forum.

You have alot of Canadian Bros. on the forum that can help you out.

Hope all your smokes are great.

Welcome to the forum Usmoke2, sorry I can't help with the Canadian experience either. I'm sure you'll get some good advice soon from the friends up north.

order you pid direct from the auber site (auberins.com) dont worry about the customs just make sure he ships it USPS and not UPS he also has the pucks if you want to save on shipping, the frog mats you will need to order from yard and pool so you can choosewhos pucks you like better and order accordingly, they all do the same thing anyway

I stumbled across this site recently for pucks.
http://linux105.mysite4now.net/johnt128/www/smoke/index.php?crn=224

$5.95 for 3. Even with shipping and duty shouldn't come to too much.

Those pucks work well, been using the same ones.

The price is for one but is still a great price.

Welcome to the forum.

Like other have said, get your PID from auberins.  The dual probe one is out of stock last time I checked but should be coming in soon.
