Lookin good, makin me hungry. The wife is stranded on a bus and probably wont be home for a hour or more.
WOW
Them thighs and legs look, GREAT.
What kind of sauce did you finish them with?
Looks great Rhonda!
First, let me do the obligatory disclaimer...DISCARD USED MARINADE AFTER DONE MARINATING" ;)
Now for reality ::) ...I marinated 1/2 the chicken pieces honey teriyaki marinade & 1/2 in carribbean jerk marinade for 2 hours. I saved the marinades & boiled them down (5 min boil time). Then I basted the pieces with the appropriate marinade for the last 1/2 hour (160 meat temp) of cooking time. I pulled them out at 165. I didn't get the legs in time so I basted them when they were done at 165 & stuck them in a 400 deg oven for 5 minutes.
Mighty nice looking Chicken.
Great looking food.
Congrats on first smoke success.
Well done Rhonda!!
Look'N GOOD Rhonda ;) ;)

Haven't had chicken in a while! Guess what is going in the smoker this weekend. Thanks for whetting my appetite Rhonda. That chicken looks great and tasty! Congrats on a job well done. But remember hooking addicting the hubby is just as important as hooking addicting yourself!
EDIT - you know that didn't sound right - so I fixed it!
Well done, that's the way it should work. Good for you!

Caney... ;) hubby isn't a chicken fan unless it's deep fried which I absolutely refuse to do! He thinks it's too messy otherwise. Me, the messier the bbq the better ;D I may try to do some pulled pork for him next weekend ???
You mean to tell me the hubby didnt eat any of those thighs or legs?
I say you do some pulled pork for you and if he dont like it he goes hungry. ;D
Boy, Hubby don't know what he's missing from the looks of those pics!
Congrats on a wonderful looking (and I assume wonderful tasting) first smoke!!!
I'd be happy if my Mrs would cook, with or without a smoker. I do about 99% of it. At least that way I know its good.
Good lookin' chicken Rhonda and congrats on your first smoke. It looks like you might have just a bit of prior experience cooking ;D
Arnie, Yes I do have cooking experience...I started cooking @ age 7 (spaghetti w/ meat sauce)...& now I got me 38 years of experience! About the only thing I won't do in the kitchen is candy w/ the exception of fudge...a girl's gotta have chocolate ;)
OU, oh hubby will eat gooey bbq, if I remove it from the bone for him. IF I make enough for him (which I don't always), then I do. It also depends on how good of a boy he's been. ;) I did cut the meat off the bone on a couple of pieces for him & he loved it. I loved it so much that I ain't doin' that again! He's just not much on "finger" food. He even uses a fork on Pizza & french fries :o I know...that's just SSSSOOOO wrong.

Mine said something about not going to college just to cook for some stinky husband or something like that. So I sighed and took over the cooking duties after our wedding. Of course I had this hidden smile. I love to cook.
And Paddlinpaul beat me to the punch also. Yesirreee, your husband got himself a good woman!

Gee, you were easy to train!
Great comeback... Yes, those of us who like to cook are "easy to train." In my case, I cook and she does dishes.
That is some good looking chicken.

But as I said in another post those those bull nose rings don't hurt so bad once they are installed, but I am deathly afraid of those bull tongs.

I absolutely forbid him to grocery shop! One time I broke my foot at work & was on crutches so he decided he'd take me & push the cart (the cupboards were bare & he was hungry). It took us two hours to get the shopping done! While I was looking at stuff & comparing prices, he was loadiing the cart with cookies, potato chips & candy when I wasn't looking! I'm not talking 1 bag of each either. I'd remove the offending goods when he wasn't looking, only to turn around & find them back in the cart a few minutes later. We finally made it to the check out line & I thought I had everything bad out. Imagine my surprise when I got home & discovered 4 bags of cookies & 3 of chips, not to mention all the baked goods necessary to bake 2 pies, a batch of cookies & a cake! I never have figured out how he got them back in the cart...? Never again! >:(
