I have read the directions for the ET-73 mod, and would like to see if anyone has done the same on the ET-7. If so, are the internal layouts the same?

I have the ET-7, which right now loses signal at 5 feet. I am going to try again this weekend with another set of fresh batteries. If it gives any better results than 5 feet, then I might do the mod...otherwise I will send back.
