Title: Late Bird is better than NO bird
Post by: smoker pete on November 28, 2010, 08:09:46 PM
I was smitten with a touch of the flu and montezuma's revenge for the last 3+ days so I was unable to partake in the Thanksgiving festivities over at my Son's house this year. :'(

The DW decided to pick up a fresh 20 lb bird at Costco yesterday @ 49¢/lb so I had my feast today with the Mrs. ;D ;D  Busy watching the old pig skin games so I chose to take the easy route and used a Reynold's Turkey Size Oven Bag.  Wife brought home left over mashed taters, gravy, and dressing so all I needed was some veggies and the bird of honor.

Only took 3 hours and here's my late bird.  Too hungry to take any $$hots  :-[ ;)  Got me plenty of left over turkey now for turkey tetrazzini, noodle soup, à la king, enchiladas, and of course more grazing.

good looking bird.  I did the same thing on Friday.  While everyone else was waiting to get toys and tv's I stocked up on some turkeys for half price.
