Title: Ham Steaks in the Bradley
Post by: seemore on January 23, 2011, 07:05:25 PM
Had a couple ham steaks thawed for dinner tonight, and I fixed them according to a recipe from a fellow Forum member, WestTexasSmoker.
Started by marinating them for an hour in apple juice, pepper, teriyaki sauce and brown sugar.  Then prepped them for the Bradley:

Smoked them for about an hour:

I then put one of them on the grill, for Mrs and I to split for supper:

Fixed hash brown casserole too:

Snelly, the smokiness was just right.  Not too much, not too little.
The flavors in the marinade just add the right dimension of flavor too.
TR, we agree with you on that kind of dinner, and Don, so sorry the invitation did not make it to you.  Next time, my dear, next time...

Looks really goooooooood...
Those ham steaks are amazing with a touch of extra smoke!

Me & Squirt threw a couple on --- just playing around last summer (while we were cooking a bunch of butts/ribs/chicken)...
Those puppies tasted even better than the stuff we were "serious" about!
After one bite, it was a JUNKYARD DAWG kinda eating frenzy!!!
