I saw a beautiful pork loin in Costco, $2.09/#, and decided to do some bacon. I used MallardWhacker's recipe with Bradley's Maple Cure, did the cure the full 21 days. I increased the rinse time to 3hr with a change of cold water each hr. The results were wonderful. This is the beginning of the celebration of my Wife and me Anniversary of 38 yrs together.

It was the best bacon I have ever had, and the beginning of a beautiful day.

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes. It has been a wonderful 38 years, an E-Ticket ride so to speak, and she is still my BFF.
