Post by: devo on April 05, 2011, 05:54:43 PM
Tried this and its pretty good

1/2 cup Ketchup
1 tbsp. worchestershire sauce
1 tbsp. slotts honey mustard
1 tbsp. Lemon juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp. molasses
1 tbsp. cane syrup
1 tbsp Jack Daniels sour mash whiskey
1 whole head of roasted garlic, mashed
1 tsp. creole seasoning (emerils essence)
1/3 cup minced onion
1/2 cup cider vinager
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. dried mustard
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke... yeah I know
Salt to taste
1 tbsp. cider vinager

Combine ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring ocassionally.
When finished cooking, add 1 tbsp. cider vinegar to thin the sauce out a bit as it can get a bit too thick.

For a smoother sauce, blend on high for a couple minutes.

Just made another batch of this. Didn't have and JD so I used crown royal. Seems to be just as good if not better. Only half a bottle of CR left. Oh well cant leave it just like that so I might as well finish it off.  :P :P :P :P :P

Was thinking I could help you with the remainder of the bottle of Jack...but see you now need help with the CR, can do that too!

That's a very interesting combination of flavors...I'll bookmark it and I also look forward to seeing how and on what you use the sauce on! Good luck!  ;D

For anyone wanting to try this the recipe it is fine for small amounts. When I make more I will double or triple the amounts and store it for later.
