Am just curious what everyones favorite store bought rub is for pork butts?
I've been using Zacks hickory rub. They also got a sweet rub, brisket rub, and a grilling rub. They probably have others also.

All kinds of good rubs out there the market.
John Henry's "Texas Pig"
Head Country "Championship Rub"
Williams "Rib Tickler"
Salt Lick "Original"
Allied Kenco "Rib Rub"
Ritter's "Apple Rub"
Billy Bob's Q "Memphis Rib Rub"
Believe it or not...
GFS has a very good rub. It's called "Classic Rub".
Juicy Pig, only available here in Texas. Just picked up some quart containers today for a few buddy requests on here.
I've settled on a clone of the commercial Salt Lick rub as my go to 'butt rub'.
Easy to make from 4 store bought ingredients.. ;D
So far Bad Byron's Butt Rub is my goto rub but I'm still looking! ;)
i use almost any rub on my butts as long as i use some soileau's w/ it. 8)
Well that is easy. I went to the store and I bought.........wait for it.........All the stuff to make another batch of "Jan's Rub". Sorry I had never used a rub before I made hers so I just use what I like. I will branch out soon though.
This is a question more than an answer to this topic. I have enjoyed a seasoning I buy at Costco for grilling meats and use it for my Big Easy birds and on my BBQ. The seasoning is called Sweet Mesquite. I am a rookie to smoking but was going to ask if anyone has used this to season meat for the smoker? I plan on making Jan's Rub for my first projects but like the low sodium flavor of the Kirkland product for grilling. Any thoughts on how this rub will work for the Bradley? FYI, my digital six shelf will be delivered on Friday of this week. So excited to get started with trying some of the great things on this site.
I have the following and have liked all of them:
Bad Byron's Butt Rub
John Henry's "Texas Pig"
GunPowder
Prefer Zack's, but I mix them up sometimes...
