Title: Teesquare's rub trial
Post by: TMB on October 04, 2011, 07:28:56 AM
Teesquare gave me some of his rub to try and I was looking forward to using it.

Here is one of the rubs he wanted me to try and from what Kimmie said about his cook with it I just had to!

I powdered the bacon with the rub and then set it on a cookie sheet with a rack so the bacon would be off the foil

Here is the bacon ready to go into the oven, I didn't have time to get out my Bradley to smoke it.

More pictures to come!

I tossed in another batch with chicken just to see how it will do on yardbird.

You had 9 pieces of Bacon and 5 Ladies.

I hope you were smart enough to eat 4 of those pieces of Bacon.

If not ................ You made somebody MAD. ;D

Bacon looked delicious.

It was a generous gesture indeed.....That bacon was Compart Farms dry cured, apple smoked bacon ( @ $12.00 a lb :o)

And - worth it! Lean, and does not fry away - and a great smelling bacon with the Apple wood smoke on it.

Beautiful job Tommy!
