Title: Cold Smoking Attachment
Post by: AZ Dry Heat on January 22, 2012, 08:43:56 AM
I received my new Bradley cold smoking attachment which requires placing the smoke generator a distance from the oven. It also requires a shorting plug to be attached to the generator. Every now and then I'd like to still be able to hot smoke without having to reconfigure the smoke generator to be close enough to the oven for the original patch cord to reach.

Is there a longer cord available anywhere, like 3 ft or so, that I can attach when I want to switch from cold smoking to hot smoking.

Appreciate any help.

All I did was cut my old cord in half and splice in a 3 foot piece. Not hard to do at all.

yep you can splice a piece in or do like I did, but two new plugs and a piece of wire and make a longer cable.

Will regular old wire work, or does it require a special type?
