Title: Repair temperature probe
Post by: 40-Dan on May 31, 2012, 06:47:30 PM
The plug (that goes into the back of the Auber) on my cabinet mounted probe has broken.  It looks like just a standard 3.5mm plug - is that the right size?  Can I fix it with a $3.00 part from Radio Shack as opposed to buying a $25.00 replacement probe from Auber?

Email Suyi at auberins to get the exact answer. I had mine go out on my 2 probe plug and play and he sent a new one.

From the horse's mouth.  Posted here in case anyone else ever has the same problem.

Hello Dan,

Yes, you can solder a new plug yourself. The probe doesn't need to be replaced if it is working.

Yep, that's the answer he needed. When he sent me a new one it was because the actual probe was bad.
