Hi All
Just wondering if there is a set of 'basics' anywhere on the forum - as a new guy its difficult to get a clear idea as there is sooo much stuff on here..you guys are fab but as a young smoker it would be extremely usueful to have a lot of info in one place for cold smoking
So is there a basic ' how-to' for the following or are the options below about right? - would someone be prepared to do it and make it a sticky? These are the 'basics' I seem to have found but what else would you add to the list?
Cheese (ie having read all the posts it appears to be universal that 1-2inch slabs works best and cold smoke for 40mins upto 4hrs with ~2hrs being quite common
Garlic - whole bulbs - 2-4hrs cold smoke?
Sea/Rock Salt - 4-40hrs cold or hot smoke
Black pepper -2hrs cold smoke
Chillis/bell peppers - Nuts - Oils - Eggs - blueberries/dates/bananas What else
What do others think - ?
Cheers again from the UK!
