<font color="blue"></font id="blue">I'm looking for a plastic screen material to lay on each grill, preventing smaller pieces from falling through. I've seen it.....it's a black plastic type material that is about a 1/4 inch mesh and doesn't melt at smoking temps.
A local commercial smokemeister uses it, but he's out of communication range for a few weeks so I can't ask him the name or supplier. I'd appreciate any leads to track this stuff down.

Bradley now offers "Jerky Racks" that have a 1/2 inch pattern as opposed to a 1 inch pattern. Would that accomplish what you need?

Since I posted this, I've located a supplier in Portland, OR area. He's sending me a sample of an approx 1/8" grid "plastic" that's rated to 200°F.
The 1/2" Bradley rack is a marked improvement. I've got to order a spare set of racks anyway, in order to double my smoking output for thin meats like salmon. I'll specify 1/2" grid. (My local dealer won't order the spare racks...do you sell those on the web?) [?]

Since posting this request, I have received information and samples on three different "small mesh" grill screens suitable for using on top of the Bradley grill racks. However, NONE are necessary now, since ordering and receiving the REALLY cool 1/2" grid, non-stick COATED jerky racks from Chez Bubba!! I can now smoke DOUBLE the normal "four rack" amount of salmon and have NONE of it fall through....Thank you Kirk, for solving this challenge[:D][:D]

Kummok mentions 1/2" spacing but since I don't have my smoker yet (today?) I don't have anything to compare them to.

Both racks are basically 11" x 15". The regular ones have a 1" grid pattern to them, a wire going both directions every inch. The jerky racks have a 1/2" pattern (twice as many wires) so delicate foods have more support or so scallops wouldn't fall through.
I also found some stainless steel storm door replacement screening at our local super hardware and cut it to slightly larger than the racks to allow it to form up the sides of the rack. These make it very handy to smoke things like peppercorns & nuts.
