Title: Brisket from cash and carry
Post by: speltman on June 21, 2006, 10:29:56 AM
Has anyone tried brisket from cash and carry? They are on sale for $1.29 a pound right now.  Thats  about one third of what I pay at the local meat shop. Thought if I got some positive response I would buy four or five and freeze them. Thanks Scott

Kash & Karry is now owned by Sweet Bay. In my market area they are trying real hard. If the meat is graded "choice" I would take it. If "select" I would consider it if it is excel brand.  If no grade stamp but it is USDA approved "only" I would not take it as it will be utility beef.
