It looks like a fun fest to attend.  Gotta be a few good Q's to taste.

...It was fun and lots to try...could use a bit of tweaking...and it was only the 4th Annual...that being said...some BBQ was better than others...some relied on more smoke while others it was all about the sauce...it's all subjective...and what's nice about it,it's a family affair...and Cocoa Village is a great place to visit... 8)

That looks like a heck of a lot of fun.  I've never been to one of these events but I very much want to.  I had to google where this actually was as there was no location at their home site.  I'm now going to see if there are any kind of similar Canadian events as I have no idea.  Music and BBQ, sounds awesome to me.

If you go to the KCBS Site (http://www.kcbs.us/events.php?str=Canada&fromDate=mm%2Fdd%2Fyy&toDate=mm%2Fdd%2Fyy&search=Search) they have four scheduled events in Canada. These events are different then the one barbquebec posted; depending on the local health laws, you may not be able to sample from the competitors, but there are generally a few BBQ venders present. The Canadian competitions all seem to be first time events. You can go to their individual websites to see what events are being offered at their competition.

You may also check to see if you have a regional/local barbecue society. They regularly hold regional/local competitions.
