Title: WA Salmon Fishing
Post by: Skishy on October 06, 2014, 10:39:25 AM
Good Morning Forum,

It has been a while since I have been on. Things have been crazy busy with summer and now that fall is trying to set in, I need a little bit of help from my Washington neighbors.

Here it goes. I am interested in getting into salmon fishing and I was able to pick up a few used salmon/steelhead poles on craigslist and yard sales, but thats about it. Can anyone give me a rundown of how to go about Salmon fishing in WA state? Sadly, I don't have a boat so I would be doing bank fishing. So I would be looking for what kind of tackle do I need to look for and purchase when doing bank salmon fishing and where are the best spots to catch them?

Being in Eastern Washington I would prefer ideas on places to fish from Cascade Mountains going east.

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
