Title: Surf and Turf
Post by: iceman on December 02, 2014, 09:22:22 AM
Picked up a prime rib eye the other day and as luck would have it a friend pulled in some crab from pots he set the same day. Decided with the break in weather we couldn't wait for either one so we cooked them both up.
Sorry, no rabbit food shots, just the main entrĂ©e.  ;D

A little Jan's rub and gun powder and off to the grill.

Made a crab Newburg and topped the steaks with it.

Had a bit of crab left so we made some crab cakes for late night snack.

Chased it all down with a cold brew and let the belt buckle out a notch.

Fresh Alaskan crab would be such a treat, then add that beautiful prime rib eye would be a Heavenly meal.  These pic's are awesome.

Looks great!

Love the crab cakes. The fresh crab legs we got in Alaska were amazing.

It looks like you had a perfect rare doneness to the prime rib, and being from PA, I can only guess at what fresh caught crabs would taste like.

Iceman that's fantastic!  If I had to choose any meal, ribeye / Alaskan crab combo would be my choice! Everything looks great besides the weather!
