When you purchase a new smoker and pull it out of the box, do you need to do anything special or can I just fire er' up and do some smokin'?  Thanks in advance!

Hi smokin fireman,

Basically the unit needs seasoning before use, instructions for doing this are included in the manual and it does not take that long. It really involves just doing a dummy smoke without any food in it.

Once that is done you are away, the big issue is deciding what to smoke first!

Buy some beer too that helps the smoke along  ;D.
