Title: Bisquettes and canadian weather
Post by: SpecialEffect on November 07, 2015, 09:19:17 AM
I made a storage shed outside on my balcony for the smoke... For our quite chilly months....

My only question is if i can leave the wood bisquettes outside in the storage shed...
Will the freezing cold affect the bisquettes at all? Or do i just need to store them inside tupperwares.

Thanks

Moisture is more of the enemy when it comes to storing them. I would use some kind of sealed container for them to keep the moisture at bay.

i have stored mine in the  shed for my smoker,,, after a while they have  expanded due to  moisture from the  air and weather,,,

so i say some  where  else would be  better,,, such as  on a  shelf in the garage or basement

I store mine in an unheated shed, but as Mike mentioned I do store them in plastic containers that do a good job of controlling moisture.
