Title: Meat probe/thermometer
Post by: Gibb82 on March 09, 2016, 08:09:04 AM
Hi guys I'm new to the forum and just had a quick question...with the Bradley smoker what's the best way to go about using my chef alarm probe during the cooking process? I think I seen a video where they were coming in through the vent at the top of the Bradley. Is that the best way to use it?

I use to bring the probe through the top, but now I run it through the door, since I always locate my probe on the bottom rack. Just open the door, run your probe into the cabinet, and close the door.

If you don't have it, you should get the air probe that is specifically made to measure hot air. They often go on sale at a 20% discount.

I usually run the probe up and out of the vent because the vent should always remain open a little bit.....otherwise the smoke backs up into the smoke generator.
