Tried this for the first time this evening. Tomatoes, olive oil, kalmata olives, garlic, anchovies and capers. Tastes excellent, this one's a keeper.

That really does look good! I'd love to try it, have you got a bit more of a recipe breakdown for a neophyte like me?
here's the one I use
Puttenesca pasta sauce
fresh tomatoes 1.5 lbs
olive oil 1/4 cup
garlic 4 cloves chopped
anchovie paste 1 tbsp
red pepper flakes 1/4 tsp
oregano 1/4 tsp
capers rinsed and chopped 3 tbsp
calmata olives pitted and chopped 1/4 cup
fresh parsley chopped 1/4 cup
chop tomatoes coarsely in blender and strain saving juice
in pot heat olive oil add garlic, anchovie paste red pepper flakes and oregano sizzle for one minute
add tomatoe juice and cook until thickened.
add olives, capers and chopped tomatoes cook until heated through
save 1 cup of water from cooking pasta add as needed to thin the sauce
serve over pasta and garnish with parsley.
That looks good
Quite ironic that "Cathouse" Willy would be the one to put out a Puttenesca recipe!
:-)
Just wanted to let you know that I made your sauce, really enjoyed it. I ended up making a big batch so I've got a couple more meals of it yet. I also made some home made linguini pasta to go along. Very tasty, the anchovies gives it a unique but good taste, thanks.
