I have a 4 digital smoker that runs fine for about 20 minutes, then shuts down. I have replaced the power supply but still have the same problem.
It looks like what it happening is that when the puck warmer kicks in, the smoker trips the GFCI. So I have probably answered my own question.
It sounds like a bad bisquette burner. A bad bisquette burner, or a loose wire to the burner will trip the GFCI. If it is not a loose wire, and you are still under warranty, contact Bradley.
I'd probably try another house circuit or. replacing the gfci first. Gfci's do wear out or fail. And replacing a gfci is a lot less expensive than a new puck burner. The last gfci I bought was about $12.
