Title: dIGITAL pROBES
Post by: coltonk on December 09, 2016, 12:21:02 PM
I have the older 6 tray smoker and just bought the new Ismart smoker with the two digital probes. I have read over and over the books that come with it but I cant seem to find anything that says what each probe does. I know there is a blue and pink jack on the front.

Help???

Hello coltonk and welcome to the Forum. "IF" I am interpreting the video on your smoker than you can use both probes in different meats at different levels of your smoker to give you a more accurate temperature from different locations of your smoker. I suppose you could even use one to monitor the Temperature from within the smoker cabinet to give you an idea as to what temperature you are actually cooking at. Doesn't look like it really matters which probe is used for what purpose, but hopefully someone with more knowledge can jump in and give more information.

It's for monitoring the food temp. Also, there is an option that will alert you when your food is ready if you choose the pre set.  It is NOT for the smoker temp.
