Title: MSG
Post by: Johnny on January 14, 2017, 03:03:00 AM
Made a small 5lb batch of snack sticks and added 2 tsp of MSG (first time adding that ingredient) I was blown away at how it enhanced the flavour so much! Do many of you use this in your fresh sausage? Feedback would be great!
Cheers,
Johnny.

I use it when I'm making rubs, enhancing commercial rubs, stews, chili etc.. It a great food enhancer. I haven't used it in fresh sausage. I may try it next time.

I use in pork sausage.  About 1 tsp per 5 lbs and reduce the salt by 1/2 tsp.
