Title: New smoker taking hours to warm up
Post by: Brodix on February 18, 2017, 10:15:58 AM
I have a new bs611 smoker and i have found it very hard to get it started since new it seems like the smoker starts and only gets around 100 degrees for a very long time so i have tried to unplug and replug the connections and im not sure yet where the problem is but after a couple hours it started heating up and working any ideas?

Brodix, are you preheating your smoker before you put anything in it?  If you tell us a little more about your start up process, we can share some pointers that will help.

Without knowing more detail it sounds as though the short power jumper cable wasn't properly seated causing your heating element to not heat up.  When you unplugged and replugged all of the connections the cable seated properly and your heating element began to work properly.
