If it works then it is worth the extra cost, I'm using a Auber Control now but would like the WiFi just because I'm a tech type of guy.
The app make it so much easier to set. No more set set ...

I assume with one of these you no longer need a wireless meet thermometer, because the PID has the meat probe is that right?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Depending on how many pieces of meat you have into your smoker . This pid has only two meat probes so, if you have more than two pieces of meat, you may still need one.
Thanks and you have been very happy with yours?

Here is some of the basic info, cost is high but well worth it.
WIFI Electric Smoker Controller, 1800 Watts
Item #: WSD-1500H-W
This controller can be operated via your smartphone through the Wi-Fi connection.
This controller has comes with two probes by default: Probe 1, which measures the temperature in the smoker cabinet. Two types of cabinet sensors are offered. 1) The original free-hanging sensor (WS-SENSOR17) can feed through the venting hole and provide very accurate temperature reading. 2) The wall mount sensor (WS-SENSOR20) that makes the system looks neat. and Probe 2, which measures the food internal temperature (WS-SENSOR18). Probe 3 is optional
This controller has three temperature sensor ports, 6 programmable steps, and an AC output to your heater that is synchronized with program step(s). Users can use the first probe to control the temperature of smoker cabinet. The second pointed probe can be inserted into the food to monitor internal temperature. Optional third probe can be used to monitor one more internal temperature.
Never said it wasn't worth the $$ if you can afford it [emoji16]
Really love mine

So for a digital bradley the Auber Wifi controls oven temp and smoke generator is still controlled by hand?
For the digital, you plug your generator into the wall.

So Auber controls oven temp to what I set it to on iphone and you manually set smoke generator how long to run?
Yes!

So after you are done with the smoke portion of the cook, do you shut off the smoke generator or leave it on? is the auber able to precisely set cabinet temp with the smoke generator running at the same time and adding hear to cabinet?

An Auber PID will regulate the chamber temp to within a few degrees, whether the SG is left on or not. I have one of their built-in models and it works great.

By Built-in models do you mean the ones that you mount within the smoke generator? instead of the plug and play?
No, I think he meant the plug and play that sits freely next to the generator but separated.

Yes, although one of their external PIDs works in a similar way.

Has anybody had problems with their Auber WiFi disconnecting from WiFi. First two times I used it it was connected the whole time. This time it was connecting and disconnecting from WiFi throughout the day.

Manual says solid blue light when connected to WiFi, but on mine it appears to flash when connected to WiFi. What is your experience with it?
Exactly like the manual says

Last cook i did it was solid the whole time and never lost a connection, not sure what happened the time before that. I think I might upgraded to Google Mesh Wifi and put a puck out in my garage.
