Title: Irregular feed
Post by: pwabrahams on August 10, 2018, 05:05:00 PM
I'm sing my Bradley to cold-smoke mozzarella.  I have a problem with irregular feed of the pucks.  The feeder does work, but I have to give the pucks a poke about every ten or so.  What can I do about that?

This sounds like a misaligned feeder tube. Make sure your feeder tube is straight and inserted correctly. There is a small lip inside the opening where you insert the tube. Make sure the tube is resting on that lip, and that you did not insert the tube past it.

If you have had you Bradley for a long time, some times smoke and debris can buildup inside the tube. When this happens, the bisquettes may get stuck. Also your bisquettes may have absorbed too much moisture, while in storage. This will cause them to swell, and not feed properly. Once opened keep them in a moisture proof container, or resealable bags. One other thing that I can think of right now - if this is the first time this has happened you may have loaded the bisquettes on a slight angle. This has happened to me, and I didn't catch it until the bisquettes would not drop.
