Title: Temperature climbs
Post by: skmorris on August 03, 2019, 03:42:55 PM
Hello everyone! I recently purchased a used Bradley Original and today, I am smoking on it for the first time. I got the temp up to 225 which is where I want it set. It stayed pretty steady for some time, but then the temp started creeping upward. When it reached 234, I turned it down a tiny bit but it dropped all the way to 218. So I turned it up a tiny bit and it continues to climb way too high. Any suggestions or ideas on how to reach the desired temp and get it to stay there?

Normal behavior, to fix this situation, you will need a pid.

20+ degree temp fluctuations are not uncommon.  If you put a temp probe in your kitchen oven you'd probably be surprised at how much it fluctuates from the setpoint.
