Title: Pro tip.
Post by: Alusardi on December 16, 2019, 08:53:50 AM
Hey everyone, I thought I might share a little tip that I use when cold smoking.  Living in S FL it's sometimes difficult to keep the temps down when cold smoking. What I do is fill up two 2 liter pop bottles about 3/4 full and freeze them overnight. If the outside temperature is above 80 F I start with one on the bottom tray and add the second if needed. My ice maker in the fridge takes about a day and a half to fill the "bucket". When I'm done I just wash and rinse the bottles and put em back in the freezer for next time.
I hope this helps .oh and if you live in Canada 🇨🇦 please disregard and  "carry on " LOL.

Yah, here in Canada we use 2 liter pop bottles too! We just fill them with Hot water to keep the temperature up. Sorry to hear about your problems in southern Florida, sounds like y'all suffering..LOL
