Title: PID Instructions that an old man can understand
Post by: Old Texan on April 10, 2020, 06:00:56 AM
I have trouble with my smoker getting to 250 so I thought I'd use a PID. However, the instructions are such that I just can't understand them. Maybe 20-30 years ago I'd have been alright, but now my mind isn't as sharp as it once was.  Are there any simple instructions anywhere?

A PID by itself may or may not solve your problems. A PID with a higher output element, or addition of a second factory element will solve all your problems.

Not sure if you have the dual probe or single probe, but here are instructions for the dual.
