Hello
I would like to smoke some sea salt.
How much time and is temperature ie cold or hot important?

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">At least in my experience, salt will not "absorb" the smoke, only coat it. This is easily licked off and will only flavor the salt if you grind it.

Cold or hot, doesn't seem to matter. It's a rock and the only way to really penetrate it is using the Viking boil technique.

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?
