Title: Probe clip/holder
Post by: love the smoke on August 10, 2008, 08:24:55 AM
I have been everywhere I think and I cannot seem to find a clip I have seen somewhere before that holds the temp probe of the maverick remote thermometer, I beleive it somehow attaches to the bottom of the rack and you can clip the probe into it
??

Anybody seen these somwhere

Haven't seen one.  I just use a twist tie on a rack and that works a treat.

Or twist tying to an alligator clip will work also, and will make it easier to attach and detach from the racks, if you rotate them.

Similar to the metheod Habs uses I have done something similar.

For attaching the temp probe I have found these alligator clips work great & they're cheap too. They are just the right size to firmly slide over most probes. I've had a few narrower probes where I had to slightly crimp the collar of the clip first before sliding it on.

I have had no problem using the clips this way. In fact this is exactly how the BBQ Guru does it.
