Auber "Bubba" pucks
« on: June 16, 2009, 01:53:26 am »
I just got these in the post this morning from Auber.  Won't get to try them for a couple of weeks.  Has anybody else tried them??  Picture below shows Auber pucks with a standard Bubba puck in foreground.

Tom,

They look like they are painted or coated with something.  Might be the picture ?

They're made from black anodized aluminum.  Wouldn't use them if they were painted.

I've tried them twice...
First use one got stuck on the ramp just before the hot plate. This led to a pileup on the ramp.
Some of the anodizing has burned off and it is down to bare aluminum.

I ordered Bubba Pucks from Y&P. They are in route.

Interesting and thanks for the info.  :-\   I ran them thru the generator a half a dozen times without a hitch.  Will have to wait to see what happens in extended use.  The anodizing I don't really care about.
