Has anyone else used this thermometer? I see a lot of recommendation for the ET3 but not much for the ET7. It looks like it is the same thing except a few more knobs.

Yes I have that, as do several others. It is more functional then the ET-73, and it has a longer range then my ET-73 (but I've had my ET-73 for over 4.5 years, and they made improvements since then). If you are using one probe to monitor the cabinet, you need to find a way to rig it up to attach it to the bottom of the tray, or if there is room you can lay it on the tray next to the meat with the tip as far away from the meat you can get it.

I see it is part of the 4 for 3 promotion, so that is a great deal.

Ordered my 73 today. Seems like that is the favorite here and I like that it is very accurate. Thanks Habs.

Amazon had the dual probe on sale for $39.99 with free shipping and it qualified as one of the 4 for price of 3 special.  I just fried the probe on the 73 so I ordered one and 3 boxes of bisquettes.  SCORE!
Their website says 4 left in stock, more on the way if anyone is interested.
