We have to take some doe here as the deer population is getting way out of hand. The state added an early season this year just to take does only.

I agree OU.
Taking does is not a question of ethics but one of game management.
We've had two bad winters in a row and our state has shorten our doe season from 30 days to 7.

The deer around here are EVERY WHERE.

Had to slam on the binders this morning to avoid hitting some, not one but some.

Taby almost got one Fri.

When the crops are out you really have to keep your eyes open.

Hi!
I thought I'd share a pic I took off my deck last week.  It's not too often I get elk and turkeys in the same frame.  :D

Nice photo Carolyn, wish I could get that opportunity here. I gotta travel a good part of the day to get anywhere near that image!

Thanks guys!
We don't live that far out of town here but it's just a great area for game.

Me too!!!   Right now with no trees  ---- if you look in the right spot from my deck at night (we are up on a hill)  you can see the golden arches, the dog & cat in the Petco sign and a big red K >:(    We went from a house that was 35 minutes to the grocery store to 5 minutes --- I so don't like where my house is and miss the country (except when I need 1 thing from the store  ;)).
