I have 2 pork butts and am ready to smoke. One is about 4 and the other 8 lb. Which one goes on top and on what racks?. I have a 4 rack digital.

I'd pick the middle 2.  Biggest on the bottom, closer to the heat.   You might want to flip/rotate 1/2 way through cooking.

Thank you. Unfortunately I put them on about 2 hours ago and I do have the bigger on the bottom so I could flip before I go to bed in about 4 hours or so but then do not plan on getting up until morning. Probably 6;00 which would put about 13 hours of cook time on them so maybe then depending on what temp they are.

Roger STC, rotate up down front back - minus the flip  :D

a pork butt is the most forgiving piece of meat you will ever put in your smoker.

Leave it. It will be fine.

Just don't rush it.
