Thanks for the pictures, they were great except the viqueen pictures but I will leave it at that!

But one more question, did you "boat" the brisket, of just a mop for moisture??

I took the brisket out of the cryovac package, patted it dry, salt, pepper ->into the smoker.

I emptied / refilled the water bowl, and didn't open the door again until I took it out.

No boats, no mops, no rotates, no wraps, no flips - no nothing.

I didn't even trim it.

It was definitely an "express" brisket.

I was very tired when I put it in, (hence the no V-tray), and didn't have the energy/time to fuss with it.

Yes - and if you want fries with that.... add $6.00

Those prices are 50% higher than the "regular season" prices

It makes Disney look like the ponderosa!

We very rarely eat inside the stadium. We tailgate and bring stuff for after the game and tailgate again to wait out the traffic.

$10.00 for a Coors light - Mixed drinks $15.00 - I can't see how people afford it. The guy in the seat next to me must have had $50 in beer alone.

We lucked out in the stadium -  on the way to our seats we chanced upon a "designated driver" signup area and got 2 coupons for a FREE soda (a $7.00 value) x 2! I felt like Freepas for a second.

You gotta love FTC - You get the "look" from the other tailgaters - I have no grill out, just a table and chairs, and then I break out the cooler with the brisket, unwrap the beast, and start slicing.

It's the "where'd you get THAT??" look. Usually followed by "I'll trade you a beer for a slice...."

man I thought we Cannucks were the only ones getting screwed for beer and snacks at "events"
Concerts, football, basebal etc
At least when I pay 11 bucks for a beer, its a real Cannuck beer   LOL
Foot longs are usually less than 8 bucks but we buy them outside
looks like a good time had by all though
All I wanted to do was slow smoke some ribs.  Another addiction created thanks to the Bradley that requires regular servicing...  But what an addiction to have.  Even better to share here with some of the best people on the planet.

Would you like smoke with that sir ?

FLBentRider

We've had season tickets for 15 years, We've probably spent $100.00 total inside the stadium during that period.

I still remember going to the NASCAR Cup race at Pocono a few years ago
Thank god for tail gate
Thank god for being allowed to bring in your own beer
Without all of that, even though it would have still been a hoot, it would have been very expensive

Could you see the entire track at Dega?
2.66 miles is a long way around
That was the beauty of Pocono even at 2.5 miles

hee haa  Shoot outs this Saturday night at Daytona
Since I have not used the snow blower this winter, I should start it up in the garage at race time, hook an exhaust hose
up to the muffler and try to re create the at track experience in my living room .....

68 inch flat screen, surround sound, gas fumes, almost likebeing there !

You can see all the way around, the cars are smaller than a Hot Wheel on the back stretch. No campers on the in field too, they are on a hill next to the back stretch.

You will have to put race fuel in the snow blower to get the race track experience, race fuel has a distinct smell to it.

Gotta love it.
