My wife asked me if i caould make her a snack for tomorrow. She has a midshift at the Tracon and they are calling for 14-18" of snow.So i made her some snowed in burro's  Grin

As soom of you know i have a spanish background and grew up eating mexican foods. This recipe was how my mom made us fast burritos. I just added my own kick to em  Grin

1 - 1.5 lbs of GB
1 pack of taco or burrito seasoning (My mom made her own)
1 small can green chile verde
1 can Rosarita Frijoles Refritos
cheese
Mission burrito sz flour tortillas
cumin

I brown 1.5 lbs of pre smoked GB and added my moms mexican seasoning.

Then add the salsa verde.

Rosarita are the best canned Frijoles Refritos.

Simmer down some of the liquid or your burro will be oozing  Grin

Next add the Frijoles Refritos to the meat and combine.

This is my wifes. She is a Yankee and dont like too much in her burros  Cheesy

For her snow day  Cheesy

I like some hot travelers in mine  Grin

And crispy tortilla

Add whatever you like to yours.

Here is my moms basic taco/burrito mix. Double for larger amounts.

2 T chili powder
1/4 t cumin or more to taste (I smoke mine)
1 to 1.5 t salt
1/2 t black pepper
1/4 t onion powder
1/4 t garlic powder
1 pinch of mexican oregano  (A PINCH)
1/2 t spanish paprika

Mix this together and add to browned GB. Store the leftover.

I love mexican food.

Love eating at Taqueria's where all you do is point at what you want

cause they wouldn't understand you if you said anything.

Those look plum good and thanks for sharing a family recipe.

Looks really good Nepas. I wonder if they would freeze very good. Could be made ahead and taken to work?

They do look good.  I have been trying to decide on something simple to use my pepperjack in.  This might be it!

10.5 - I think they would be excellent to freeze.

Off to the store for tortillas.......

That looks good!

In the last few years I've become a foodie and have begun the slow, yet enjoyable process of cooking so seeing recipes and photos give me ideas.

Thank you.

I feel a Mexican evening coming on with the wife.   Grin
