I think Mr Walleye (Mike) has a post where he put together

a fan kit and instead of running it CCW he built a shield for it and ran it CW.

That helped keep the back of cabinet cooler.

BigJohnT has 12 racks in his 4 rack SS and has a fan kit and does Jerky in it

and "I THINK" he doesn't have to rotate the racks cause the fan evens out the heat.

I think you're right ttnuge, gonna order one and sooner or later gonna add some racks like bigjohnt did down the line...

The extra rack kit is awesome too.  Put 10 racks of jerky in this morning, after a few hours that went into the Dehydrator and now I have 6 full racks of salmon in getting smoked.  Never would have been close to fitting it all in my OBS without the 12 rack kit.

One of the nice things about adding the extra rails is that it allows you

flexibility in placement of other smokes (Butts, Briskets, Ribbs, etc)

I did the additional rails just for that reason.
