Hi Guys,

Im new to the forum but have been lurking around here since I got my OBS. I was lucky enough to have a mother in law who won it at the local grocery store and didnt want it so I ended up with it!! Yesterday was the maiden smoke and thanks to you guys and all the great tips and advice here two racks of baby back's turned out fantastic. I would make a few changes like a little less spice in the rub and a little more liquid during the 2 hours of foil but all in all they were great! Now I gotta find a PID and some cake pans for the water bowl. Sorry no pictures as it was a busy day. I promise to take some next time, next weekend I will be trying a pork Butt!! Thanks again!!!

Steve81,

Welcome to the board and here's to many a fine smoke.

The water pan I use is technically called a half size steam table pan.  It is available at Costco.  It fits perfectly after slightly bending the back rim to clear the element shield.  The brand is Reynolds.

There is a good photo in this thread.

Thanks guys. Costco is where the ribs were from so I will have to look for the pans next time I am there.
