Wondering why you don't slave the fan control off the heater switch. Seems you would not need the fan unless you are applying heat. The current arrangement allows the fan to run on its own.

If the fan is separate from both the smoke control and the heater control, then you get the most options.  This arrangement would allow the cabinet to function as a hot smoker (all three on), cold smoker (smoke and fan on), or a dehydrator (just the fan and/or low heat).  I'm not sure this was the goal, but it should work fine.

If you need a Phone on that thing give me a call. [:D]

Funny you should ask I found I can install a pid and have all output to my computer temp, time etc. I will let you know. I just want to be able to smoke first . Looks like I can controll fan with the controler by using a limit switch to turn fan on at a predetermened temp. Any idea where I would install ?? back to the drawing board......[:)]

mrdennisg,

Looks great. If you get more adventurous, you could incorporate a timer and split the power to the Bradley so that the smoke generator stops cycling after your smoking period (to avoid having to manually turn it off). With your controller, the loss of the smoke generator heat will be automatically managed.
