Cold Smoke

Thanks Olds! Looks like ham is next on "The list". Tell me- would that ham go well with quail eggs? [?][:)]

And the doctor told me to quit smoking.....

But if you want some great smoked egg salad do what I do---I cheat again! LOL!!

Smoke a chicken. Beat it into tiny pieces add to your egg salad. Refrig over night and Blam! You got the best tasting smoked egg salad. But Shhhh don't tell anyone that you cheated Ha ha ha!

Cold Smoke

I just might toss a few hard boiled eggs into the BS this weekend along with the gobbler- it's been a while since my taste buds have been pleasured by deviled eggs. I will certainly give those soy eggs a try- Mmmmm...A few weeks ago I did make some superb smoked chicken salad sandwiches- that turned out to be a real treat. [^][^] If my turkey doesn't work out too well, I'm sure I'll be making plenty of smoked turkey salad sandwiches and looking for a good turkey chili recipe.

Johnny egg- Sorry, no harm meant by the quail eggs and ham comment. I tried the google thing as well and came up with zilch.

Cold SMoke:

How did your turkey turn out?  My post is over at the "Whole Turkey" topic...it is cooking as we write!~

DoW:  Those fishies looked delicious!  Thought they were trout for a second by the color....that's the color mine turn out.

Olds,

It isn't cheating, it's "creativity"! We're in the same boat.

The Mrs. was planning a wedding shower for her little sis & chicken salad foo-foo sandwiches were one of the things on the menu. My first inclination was to smoke the chicken, but the wife thought it might be a little too much for the prissies.

I wound up making perfectly normal chicken salad except I snuck a chopped smoked onion into the mix. Reportedly, most of the little chickies made comments about how it was the best they'd ever had, although they couldn't put their finger on why.[;)]

Keep cheatin'[8D]
