1st Baby Boulder
« on: February 11, 2011, 12:01:31 PM »
Sorry its a bit late but I did up a boneless turkey last weekend. I slathered it with CT and coated with Jan's Rub. I did about 2:40 of apple wood smoke and and it took about 4.5 hrs total when I pulled it out at 162*. I then wrapped it in foil with a towel for an hour. It turned out very good, with praise from those I get to be my test subjects. I cut up most of it thin and froze in foodsaver bags. Thanks for the pointers CRG and STC you helped make the process go off without a hitch.

Its a boneless turkey roast, I guess :P Breast meat and other meat tied up tight.

I got that one from Costco, a local grocery store had them too but it was $8-9 cheaper at costco.

That is good to know about costco Steve. I have wanted to get one but the price at Save-ons was just to much. It would cut to deep into the booze fund. ;D
