Still waiting (somewhat less patiently) for the promised narrative of what food porn came from where.  Or we could have a contest to see who could link the largest number of dishes to the proper restaurants.

The killer roast beef po boy and the black bean and rice dish came from the Gumbo Shop.  I believe the last 4 pics came from Red Fish Grill as did some of the first food porn pics.

The fight isn't over until the winner says it is.

GINGER GLAZED LOUISIANA SHRIMP with a boudin eggroll and Vietnamese dipping sauce

Oceana Grill

Some random shots in/around the RS..

Center Courtyard.

Common patio area outside of our room (2nd floor, back side of the hotel)

Jazz Club inside the hotel.  Very nice.

Le Booze, opens onto Bourbon Street.

Royal Street.   Lots of nice shops/art galleries for the ladies to peruse..

Or, on the other end of the spectrum..

Wow!  Great food porn and photo tour, Pat!

Why do I feel like I need to take two Alka Seltzer, go back to bed, and then sign up for Weight Watchers when I reawaken?

I think I got a hangover and gained ten pounds just reading through it all.

Very nicely done!
I like animals, they taste good!

WOW!!!!

Great shots Pat.

Now I'm REALLY hungry.

Thanks for the pics Pat.  Living vicariously!

However, I would have brought a rod to go after some of them pretty colored NOLA trout in the 5th pic.

As I've traveled in other countries, I am constantly reminded of the Ugly American Tourist tag by the natives.  Often well deserved.  Case in point - the 8th picture - the Jazz Club.  Some Interior Designer poured her heart out to create a beautiful setting, some owner dropped some really big bucks on the beautiful setting, and some contractor worked and fretted to build that beautiful setting.
