Olds,

I seriously doubt whether a Bradey rep will respond. I have been told the reasons why & personally, from a business standpoint, they actually do make sense (insert potential lawsuit here). They do however read it.

It's a messed up world we now live in & I can appreciate their desire not to invite a very uncomfortable situation. I can fly under the radar because I'm just a guy who loves smoking & is willing to share my thoughts with others who enjoy the same.

My comments are not "MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS", they're simply the random thoughts of a pseudo-anonymous internet poster.

I wish we still lived in the 60's where people still took the blame for their own mistakes![:(] And I'm not 40 yet.

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?

Well that is a new one on me. I have worked for multi billion dollar companies. And when there was a problem the smart thing to do is to address the issue in a timely professional manner.

Having a Bradley rep simply say that will stand behind their product, and sorry for any inconvenance is not grounds for a lawsuit. Insuring a customer that you are there for them is not grounds for a lawsuit.

As I said this is a new one on me...

Olds,

You missed my point, probably due to the hour it was posted, I didn't explain it too well.

The guys at Bradley have chosen not to participate on the board. They have their reasons & be it for better or worse, I can appreciate where they're coming from.

On the other hand, if you call them with your issue, it is my experience that they will address & solve it in a very timely manner. Better than every other company I've dealt with and reading all the posts here, it seems many other members agree as to their performance level.

My issue was trying to address Mr. Steele's method of solving his problem as the scenario he described has not ever happened to me or anyone else that I know of.

As to how to run a company, everyone has their own ideas. Yes, if I were Wade Bradley, there are some things I would do differently. But I'm not & he is & it hasn't gone Chapter 11 so I don't let it bother me.

BTW, I'm an SOB to work for. No insurance benefits, no paid vacation, no overtime. All my employees hate me![;)][:D][:D][:D][:D]

I have no issue with Mr. Bradley. I can say when I called them that I was set back by how fast the replacement part came. I was expecting an item from a vendor and when the Bradley part came I said, Man that is a small box for that item...Blam it was my Bradley replacement item instead.

As far as how he runs his railroad that is his business. Nevertheless I sure as hell would not have allowed a posting of this nature to go unanswered.

Every now & then I'll peruse the Cookshack forum for more ideas on recipies. Cookshack has a rep on the board that replies to posts all the time. This rep will even initiate comments & feedback from the posters about their product. Bradley should look at their competitor. i think it builds goodwill with the owners of the product and may lead to improvements in the product.

That's why I feel the need to post here. Although I am not a Bradley employee, just a dealer, I USE their product (unlike most others) & want to be able to converse with other users. You guys are a tremendous source of knowledge.
