Well decided to try yesterday to get cheese smoked. No adapter but out side are was around 40 degrees. Surprised I smoked two hours of Hickory and smoker never got past 90 degrees.

5 lbs. Cheese ready to smoke

In smoker

Smoking away!

All done and cooling

Will do more later. A lot more. Oh I did have to try it. I cut a small slice from end then a second which I gave the wife. I ate the end and it did have a smoky ash tray taste. Wife thought hers was strong too! So I finished it. Second piece I thought wasn't that bad. But I do love smoke!!!

Ahhh you can't beat smoked cheese!
Once your cheese has rested a month or so it's really going to be good!

my countdown is on.....4 wks is Dec. 20th for my 1st cheese smoke!!! And mine did smell nasty post-smoke, took everyone's word for it and didn't bother tasting...

good luck seeing it all sit in your fridge every day for a month!

Well mine is the 5th. But think I'll try some Christmas a little early. I hid mine in the bottom drawer of fridge. Simply because I never look in there. I have so much meat to smoke in the next couple weeks I should be able to make it.

Busy here too, a couple of buddies that I've always done an exchange with are going to get smoked gifts rather than typical guy stuff. Got a brother in Calgary that'll also get beef jerky and candied salmon. My second batch of jerky in 24hrs is in now. Reminds me I better go check it! ;D
