Copper Creek

Hey There

I've grilled, smoked and BBQ'd off and on most of my lfe but I'm a complete newbie when it comes to the BS.  I have used it twice and have been very happy with the results.  I smoked a briket with hickory and it was excellent.  I smoked a chicken with hickory and it was very good also.  It was moist and tender. However, the hickory smoke flavor may have been a bit too strong.  So my question is to you is

"What is your favorite wood for smoking chicken and why?"

Thanks,
Steve[:D]

I like:
apple
maple
hickory
mesquite

All depends on my mood and whether or not I want a strong smoke flavor.

Welcome, Hickory and mesquite are strong smoke flavors.Try oak for a little bit lighter smoke with beef or pork.Pecan, apple, & maple are good for chicken, fish.Try mixing the bisquits you really can't go too wrong.[;)][8D]
