Boss lady wanted some real poultry lunch meat for Sammie's.

Cold smoked some yard bird breasts at 36 f for an hour.

Seasoned and vac sealed for a rest in the fridge.

Into the magic machine for 6 hours.

After a quick sear on the grill.

Sliced and ready for Sammie's  :)

Way cool as my son would say  ;D

So how do you like the SousVide Supreme?? Is it worth every penny? Looks and sounds like a nice unit.

So much for us telling people not to cold smoke poultry - but of course who else could do it at safe temperatures like 36o?  And I mighta known you'd have one of them fancy hot water thingies (since I've got to wait till Christmas for my cheaper version).  Jealous as usual (but with much better weather).

Nice looking breasts, should make great sammies and your setup is cool.

I too am curious as to what you think of the unit. I have been contemplating one for a while now. I have been using my PiD with a single burner hot plate and it seems to work pretty good but am wondering what I am missing out on?
Bob and Doug Mckenzie encompass all that is Canadian ehh.

Looks good but how do you keep the food from sliding off the counter when it is standing on its side like that?  Velcro?   ;D

I made my own sous vide. I was looking into buying a machine like you have but too spendy. I made my own controller using my crock pot. works great. I'll post pics later

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Love the cooker. Worth every penny.
Did a boneless chuck roast the other day. It cooked for 48 hours and was the best pot roast we have ever had!
Also use the roaster for a less expensive version with this control.
